Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose-Quatre (48) has over two decades of experience in the fields of politics, diplomacy, public policy, management, media and communications. She has occupied multiple specialized roles such as a politician, community leader and diplomat, where she worked as a political and communications specialist, campaigner and trainer, CEO of a political party, Member of Parliament as the Leader of Government Business, and a Seychelles Ambassador, respectively. Presently, she is a consultant for the public and private sectors as a specialist in public policy and strategic communications.

She started her career as a journalist where she worked for several media houses in Seychelles - having spent five years with the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) working for both radio & television, and an equal amount of time in the publishing industry. In 2004, she became the Editor-in-Chief of The People Newspaper; the country’s oldest political newspaper.

In 2006 she was appointed as a proportionate Member to the Seychelles National Assembly. In 2009, at the age of 34, Ambassador Rose-Quatre was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the United Seychelles Party secretariat. As the CEO of a political Party, she was in charge of reforming the political architecture, review of internal policies and legislative framework to prepare the political landscape for future generations.

In March 2012 Ambassador Rose-Quatre became the Leader of Government Business (LGB) in the National Assembly. Ambassador Rose-Quatre has led the Majority Party in Parliament through important and historical legislative reforms. She worked closely with the Executive in the legislative process which included strategic policy reviews. She also chaired several Committees in the National Assembly including her active engagements as a member of the Women’s Parliamentary Committee as well as the then Reform and Modernization Committee - supporting the Parliament’s transformation process.

Ambassador Rose-Quatre was appointed as an Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles in 2016. In 2017, she represented the Republic of Seychelles as the accredited Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, the Southern Africa region countries at bilateral level, as well as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Seychelles to SADC and COMESA. Ambassador Rose-Quatre presently works as a consultant for the public and private sectors in the global and national public policies and strategic communications areas.

Ambassador Rose-Quatre holds a BA (Double Major) in Communications studies & English & Comparative Literature, and MA (Distinction) in Global Diplomacy. She is married and has two sons.
