The 37th African Union Summit Appoints the New CEO of the APRM Continental Secretariat

20 February 2024, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The 37th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Assembly of Heads of State and Government (Summit), concluded on 19 February 2024. The Summit marked significant milestones towards the realisation of AU Agenda 2063, especially for the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). The Summit appointed Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose Quatre of the Republic of Seychelles as the new CEO of the APRM Continental Secretariat for a mandate of four (4) years renewable once.

The Summit assured Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose Quatre of the full support of the African Union in the fulfilment of her noble mandate. The Summit also entrusted her to take full and effective charge of the APRM Continental Secretariat as the legal representative of the institution. 

Ambassador Rose Quatre is a national of the Republic of Seychelles. She brings a wealth of experience to the APRM including serving as Ambassador to several Member States of the African Union, and as Member of Parliament and Leader of Government Business in Parliament. 

The Summit expressed its sincere appreciation to Outgoing CEO of the APRM Continental Secretariat, Prof. Eddy Maloka, for his sterling leadership of the APRM Continental Secretariat and most importantly his dedication and contribution to the realisation of AU Agenda 2063
